Joann & Paul - Married May 13th, 2006

About Us

Joann met Paul on Sunday, May 27th, 2001 (about 23 short years ago), at Dante's Pub in the University District of Seattle. They played some pool, shared some time, and walked off together into the rest of their lives.

They've had three vacations in the 23 short years they've been together. The first was to the fine city of San Francisco. There, they had many adventures, including eating some fabulous Chinese food in a beautiful Dim Sum restaurant in China Town. They explored most of the city, and even took a ferry ride to Alcatraz Island, where Al Capone guided their tour through the facility and the journey through the past.

The second was a (June 10-13, 2005) trip to Las Vegas, to take in the sights, and more importantly, figure out the details for their nuptials. They were fantastically happy with their first view of Vegas together, and took full advantage of the best the town had to offer. Their second night in town found them eating amazing food in the Luxor Steakhouse, and shortly after, enjoying the best show around, Blue Man Group! Night three saw our friends sitting down to a medieval feast in the Excalibur Hotel, at the Tournament of Kings, and later that same night they found themselves in the audience for the Penn & Teller show at the Rio Hotel.

They've lived a mostly quiet life, supporting each other through thick and thin, and taking care of those freakish animals, Mokey T. Fraggle, Ike "The Fraidy Cat" Broflowski and José "The Tank" Cuervo. The rough times have only brought them closer together, and created a firmer bond between them.

On Wednesday, February 2nd, 2005, Paul proposed to Joann in their quiet home, and the world changed for them forever. They set a date, they set a place. They were married on Saturday, May 13th, 2006 in Las Vegas at the Luxor hotel. After the wedding (and a couple nights in Vegas) it was on to a day in New York City, a long flight to Rome for three days seeing the Vatican and the Coliseum, a train ride north to Genova. There they boared a cruise ship that would take them on their trip to see Mount Vesuvius, the Great Pyramids in Cairo, the Tombs of the Kings in Cyprus, the temple of Athena in Rhodes, the temple of Poseidon in Sounio, the Acropolis and Parthenon in Athens, the temple of Zeus in Olympus, and finally back to Genova for three days before coming home. The future holds much for them. Future trips that they've held in dreams include a cruise to Alaska and quite possibly more trips to Europe, seeing the wonders of the continent.

They are currently in the process of selling up the condo and dreaming about buying a house. Whatever the future actually holds in store for them, they hope to continue growing in the same direction and that their love will only grow stronger with time.

In a world where celebrity equals talent, and where make-believe is called reality, it is most important to have real love, truth and stability in your life.
